Festival Weddings are becoming ever more popular as daring and free spirited couples are looking to merge the flavour of a British Summer with their special day. To begin with let’s talk beautiful tented structures, outstanding food, drink and relaxed vibes.

THE VENUE

As most of you all know, the venue is so important. It makes the occasion. The luxury of a festival wedding means that you can get creative with the type of structure you want to hold your reception in. Find a suitable green field and your are good to go! This also means you can mix and match where you your ceremony space and reception area. So if there is beautiful church you have always dreamed of marrying in, or you fancy an ethereal woodland space for the ceremony you can combine this with the reception of your dreams in the location of your choice.

At Festival in a Box we have a collection of tried and tested spaces across the country that would suit a Festival Wedding down to the ground. (Pun intended!)

Scouting for new potential venues is always great fun too. We do love a good field – since we spend most of our year in various ones throughout the country it would be a bit of a disaster if we didn’t!

Food & Drink

Incredible food trucks, sumptuous woodland banquets, relaxed BBQ’s and formal dinners with a festival flair – the possibilities are endless with a festival wedding! Having a venue that doesn’t restrict you is key as you can have total control over the type (or types!) of food you would like to serve. Anything and everything from a mediterranean feast, a BBQ served out the back of a Beetle a la Smoking Beetle, Paella, Hog Roasts and more. Beautiful food trucks look so cool and really complete the look and feel of the festival vibe.

Street food is often a much cheaper alternative to catering companies too!

Along with sourcing the perfect food, creating a fun and statement bar that ties in with the theme of the day is one of our favourite things!

Airstreams or VW Beetle serving cocktails, champagne yurt bars, glowing outdoor bars serving cask ales and prosecco on tap. How about serving alcoholic ice pops during cocktail hour?
